Privacy policy

Summary

gamaniPOS is a point-of-sale app. Everything you enter (products, sales, customers, suppliers, expenses, staff) is stored on your own device. We do not run servers that receive your data, we do not sell data, and the app contains no advertising or analytics trackers.

Data stored on your device

Business records you type or import, receipt photos you attach to expenses, and app settings. Staff PINs are stored only as one-way hashes. You can export or back up all data to a file at any time, and uninstalling the app deletes it from the device.

Permissions

• Camera: to scan product barcodes and photograph expense receipts.
• Bluetooth / nearby devices: to connect to receipt and label printers.
• Local network: to print to Wi-Fi / LAN printers.
• Photos / files: only when you choose a file to import, back up or restore.

These are used only for the purpose shown and only when you use that feature.

Optional cloud sync

Cloud sync is off until you create an account in Settings → Cloud sync. When it is on, your business data and your account email are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the gamaniPOS server on Cloudflare, so your devices stay in sync, and one backup per day is kept there (the newest 14). Only members you add to your business can see it. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. You can stop syncing at any time by signing out.

Children

The app is a business tool and is not directed at children.
